Insulate Ukraine receives backing from The Rotary Club

Insulate Ukraine are hugely grateful to District 5400 of The Rotary club for their pledge of $30,000.

“As a humanitarian and service organization, peace is the foundation of the Rotary mission, and in our Rotary District we work to create the space and the opportunity for peacebuilding in many ways, and this project is one of those ways,” said Janice Fulkerson, District Governor of Rotary District 5400 in Southern Idaho, US.  “The importance of replacing windows that have been blown out by bullets and bombs, has a direct and positive impact on the families and children in Ukraine who are physically living in a conflict area.   With IU windows now being implemented in Izyum, Nikopol, Lyman and Kherson, these funds will directly allow for the increase in supplies and personnel. This donation comes at a vital time: the work of IU would not be able to continue to grow and expand in the same way without these funds.”

The Rotary Club unites people from all continents and cultures, who take action to deliver real, long-term solutions to the world’s most persistent issues. In communities across the globe, the Rotary Club has 1.4 million members that come together to strengthen their connections to friends and neighbours and their commitment to improving lives. IU is extremely grateful for being considered at this time.

“With the generous donation of $30,000, Insulate Ukraine will be able to protect around 6000 individuals from the cold for many winters to come.” Harry Blakiston Houston, founder of Insulate Ukraine.
