Giving Tuesday 2025

Dear friends,

Giving Tuesday is here, and we’re asking you to join us on this global day of charitable giving to help us reach the households that need our windows the most.

Ukrainians are preparing for what many are calling the worst winter yet of the war. Russia’s brutal missile and drone strikes on civilian heating and energy infrastructure are hitting at a record pace as winter begins. Ukrainian temperatures can drop to –20°C (-4°F) for extended periods, and across frontline regions, aerial bombardments continue to shatter windows day after day.

Without windows and with prolonged power and heating cuts, families face hypothermia, displacement, and long-term health risks.

Without a way to keep the cold out, temperatures like this become a matter of survival.

Our emergency replacement windows can raise room temperatures dramatically, offering immediate relief and real safety to families who have already endured far too much hardship.

Each emergency PET window we install is a direct and long-term act of protection, restoring warmth and light, defending against bad weather and mold, providing shatterproof protection from future blasts, and helping families stay safely in their homes. Our work restores comfort and dignity, giving people a renewed sense of home so they can remain in the places they love.

Testimonials

Tetiana and her husband

Tetiana and her husband live alone. They’re elderly, and they no longer work. Two years ago, the first shell struck their home, blowing out all the windows in two rooms. Then another strike landed in their backyard and shattered the rest.

“Our OSB boards covering the openings had already started to rot,” she said. “They let in water and the cold. On our pension, we simply cannot afford new windows. Last winter was freezing.”

“But once your builders arrived and insulated the old broken frames, the change hit fast, within hours, the apartment grew noticeably warmer.”

For Tetiana, what she appreciated most wasn’t just the warmth — it was knowing someone cared.

“There were people out there who hadn’t forgotten us, the elderly left behind, alone, with no family to help.”

Narine

“It’s very hard living here now during the war. We’re afraid when there’s a strike. My child is terrified. You see your child’s face turn white: ‘Mama, we won’t die? Mama, we won’t die?’

It’s hard, but we live. Five times, five times there were strikes right by our home. Boom. Each time, five times the windows shattered. We lived three years with OSB from the beginning of the war. It was dark, and it was cold. And then your guys came and replaced them. Now it’s bright, at least we can see. Before, we sat in darkness. Now there is light and that makes us happy. It’s also good for the children. Our boy, he studies here, and for him it’s much better.”

These are just two of thousands of stories from the Ukrainians we help.

But to continue this life-changing work, we rely on partners like you.

On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to support our mission through the donation link below.

Your generosity ensures we can respond immediately after each strike — repairing homes and restoring dignity for families across Ukraine.
