Product Specifications

V2 is a lightweight emergency replacement window system designed for rapid post-strike deployment by local installation teams in conflict-affected and disaster-damaged buildings. It helps restore weather protection, thermal performance, daylight, and basic occupant safety when conventional glazing is unavailable, delayed, or impractical.

The system consists of a locally cut and assembled engineered softwood frame fitted with a double-layer PET glazing configuration. Two PET sheets are fixed to the frame to create an insulating air gap, helping restore basic protection, visibility, and weather resistance after window damage.

Material Composition

The system is designed for rapid on-site fabrication and installation by trained local teams. Timber components are cut and assembled in the field, after which PET glazing sheets are fixed into place to form a lightweight, double-layer emergency window. Installation is designed to be straightforward, adaptable, and suitable for post-strike repair conditions.

Assembly Method

The double-layer PET design is intended to restore basic thermal insulation, weather protection, and natural daylight in damaged buildings. By helping reduce drafts, uncontrolled air infiltration, and exposure to rain or snow, the system improves immediate indoor livability when conventional glazing is unavailable or delayed.

Thermal & Environmental Performance

Unlike conventional glass, PET is shatter-resistant and does not break into dangerous sharp fragments. When damaged, it is more likely to deform or tear rather than explosively shatter, helping reduce secondary injury risk in blast-affected environments.

Impact & Safety Behavior

The system is designed for repairability and practical field maintenance. PET sheets can be replaced on-site if damaged, while the timber frame can be adapted or rebuilt as needed. Both wood and PET components are recyclable, supporting lower-cost repair and reduced material waste over time.
