Voices for Freedom: An evening with Oleksandra Matviichuk in London

Recently, Insulate Ukraine was honoured to attend Voices for Freedom, an evening hosted by the Institut Français in London featuring Oleksandra Matviichuk — head of the Center for Civil Liberties and recipient of the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize.

The event brought together supporters of Ukraine, human rights advocates, and members of the international community for a conversation centred on justice, accountability, and the human impact of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

During the discussion, Matviichuk spoke about the realities documented by her team since 2022, including war crimes committed against Ukrainian civilians and the importance of ensuring that peace is built on justice rather than silence.

The evening focused not only on Ukraine’s present struggle, but also on the responsibility of the international community to continue supporting Ukrainian voices and democratic values.

For Insulate Ukraine, the event was also a reminder that humanitarian recovery remains deeply connected to human dignity. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, our teams have worked to help restore safety and warmth to homes damaged by attacks through emergency replacement windows developed alongside frontline communities in Ukraine.

As rebuilding efforts continue across Ukraine, conversations like these remain essential in keeping Ukraine visible on the international stage and reinforcing the importance of long-term solidarity.

We are grateful to the Institut Français for hosting this important event and to everyone continuing to support Ukraine, its people, and its future
