London Stock Exchange hosts discussion on justice, recovery, and rebuilding Ukraine
Recently, Insulate Ukraine was honoured to attend an event at the London Stock Exchange alongside leading voices advocating for Ukraine’s future, justice, and recovery.
The discussion brought together policymakers, financial leaders, human rights advocates, and organisations working directly with communities affected by the war.
Oleksandra Matviichuk, head of the Center for Civil Liberties and recipient of the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize, spoke about the importance of justice in wartime and the urgent need to hold Russia accountable for war crimes committed since the full-scale invasion.
Tetyana Nesterchuk shared insight into the role of sanctions and international cooperation in supporting Ukraine’s long-term recovery. The conversation was moderated by George Littlejohn of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Together, the speakers focused not only on how Ukraine can win the war, but how it can secure a just and sustainable peace.
For Insulate Ukraine, the event was also an opportunity to highlight the humanitarian reality faced by millions of Ukrainians living with damaged homes and shattered infrastructure.
Since 2022, Insulate Ukraine has developed emergency replacement windows designed to restore warmth, safety, and dignity to homes damaged by Russian attacks. What began as a prototype built in Cambridge has evolved through constant field testing and collaboration with Ukrainian teams working on the ground in frontline regions including Izium and Nikopol.
Today, the organisation continues to improve and scale its emergency window systems, helping families stay warm through winter while longer-term reconstruction remains ongoing.
The event also highlighted the importance of partnerships between civil society, business, and humanitarian organisations in supporting Ukraine during both wartime and recovery.
We are deeply grateful to Katya Gorbatiouk for facilitating the event at the London Stock Exchange and helping amplify conversations around Ukraine’s future and resilience.
Special thanks also to the LSEG team, including Keith Raymont and Tudor Dutu, for making the event possible, and to Matt Graham and BPL for their longstanding support of Insulate Ukraine’s mission.
From Kyiv to London, these conversations matter. Keeping Ukraine on the international agenda — and continuing to support practical solutions for people affected by war — remains essential.
As rebuilding continues, Insulate Ukraine will keep working to make homes habitable again, one window at a time.
